Let's See If Obama Really Gets It ..

25. January 2011

When Obama tried one of his feeble attempts at defending his policies, just after the election, he was shouted down by the opposition who said that he still does not "get it". Well, I agree about the not getting it part, but obviously I do NOT agree about what he does not get. If he's really serious about getting re-elected then there are a few overdue statements he has to make during the state of the union today. I agree this is not the place for political campaigning, but it is the place to talk about his past record and it is his last chance to set it straight.

1) Refute "Spending Binge" Allegations Strongly and Defend Smart Government Spending and Investments
   i) Stimulus spending was necessary and a verycarefully planned investment, which worked beyond epxectations, and not doing it may have led to economic devastation of horrifying proportions.
ii) Without goverment investments America would not be the country it is. You think if Eisenhower had decided that "spend as you go"is the only option, we would still not be able to drive across the country by car
iii) Overriding Republican focus on deficits is plain wrong in a weak economy. The focus should be on reviving the economy and creating more jobs

 2) Convince Listeners That a Focus On "Jobs and Economy" Was Always His Priority And Will Continue To Be
    i) Continuing from the point above, if he had heeded republican advise and not gone for stimulus spending, not only would the financial markets have been destroyed by now, we would have 3.3 million more people unemployed. The stimulus not only resulted in more jobs, but it also included many smart investments which have paid off stupendous returns, such as General Motors and Citibank
ii) The healthcare plan was not a "distraction" like it was made out to be. It is very much linked to the economy and jobs

3) Convince Listeners That "Deficit Management" Is Always On His Mind, And How Republican/Tea Party Policies Actually Increase The Deficits

4) Continue From Above and Provide Compelling Points of Healthcare package again, Specifically How it Reduces the Deficits

5) Advise Listeners That He is Willing To Work With Opposition But It Is Also Their Duty To Offer Specific Counter Proposals Instead of Just Saying "No"

I will try to complete this article soon, but a lot of fillers can be extracted from one of my previous articles here.

Civility won't fix it if they stll hate the other side's policies

13. January 2011

Obama made a great speech and he fulfilled his duty as a president by making the ordinary man reflect on his actions and follow a path of accomodation instead of intolerance. However, this utopia will be shortlived if the other side still is still blinded by the incessant brainwashing that has been happening over these years, and continue to think that the people in power are destroying the country (whereas the people in power and their supporters return the favor and mindset by railing against them without bothering to correct their despicable distortions).

Whether political propoganda was partly responsible for making Jared Loughner hate the government and pushed him to act is a moot point now, the point is that even perfectly sane people have been frothing at the mouth, especially at those townhalls and tea party gatherings. If those people haven't gone past breaking windows and sending threatening letters or letter bombs, then there is high likelihood of somebody doing something more drastic "in order to save the country" (or whatever other delusion they may have). If so many educated and world-wise people can fall under the spell of tea party and get deluded into thinking the stimulus was just pork barrel spending (it saved the country from total devastation), the health care is law about socialism or 'death panels', and that deficits are the biggest problem our country faces and it is what is causing the economy and jobs to stagnate, then the insane nuts are not our only problem.

The problem here is not just the tea party anger stokers, who resort to the lowest of lies to vilify their opponent, it is also the people in power who do not make any attempts to correct the horribly wrong impression and understanding that the 'brainwashed' have of their policies and make them understand the truth and expose the liars. It is the duty of the government to educate the citizens of their policies and explain their actions, but apparently that is above the dignity of people in power. Read my posts below for more details on this garguantan oversight of part of the Obama administration (and other democrats) that is partly responsible for the atmosphere of political hatred in this country.

Watch out for more on this topic, and how Obama can learn from the bravery of Giffords in this regard (and from Christie too).

The Biggest Mistake that Obama Made ... It's Not The Tax Cut Deal

15. December 2010

Let’s stop focusing on the intricacies of the tax cut package for a while. Obama’s mistake all along has not been any of his policies, in fact he has probably done the best that you could hope for by any president. Right from his first six months when he pulled out all stops to revive a dangerously tottering economy (and was successful) by passing an superbly crafted stimulus package, despite the howls from the tea party poopers. His admin came up with innovative ideas like cash for clunkers and housing tax credit to try various methods to provide a boost for the economy and all their efforts did work spectacularly as the economy starting going into growth mode within a year of his taking office and the stock market doubled since the passing of the stimulus package. Most Americans cannot even begin to fathom what the situation would be if Obama hadn’t taken the right steps to revive confidence in the financial markets and institutions.

But, he failed to defend it aggressively when the opposition tried to cover up the progress that he had made and tried to knock him down along with the economy by scaremongering on deficits and national debt. He failed to defend the healthcare package enough, which was a mixed bag but definitely a step in the right direction as something had to be done about the rising premiums. He didn’t fight the misleading distortions fabricated by the tea party that the stimulus package was a bailout and he didn’t castigate them for talking down the economy by haring on their ‘out of the blue’ and ill-timed concern for deficits (when the economy is in a depression? Common!).

Maybe his thinking was that it would be best as president to stay out of mudfights and be ‘presidential’. Alternatively, maybe he thought that it would be best to if the congress is divided, as it would put some of the blame on the republicans and force them to walk their talk and cast unpopular votes. He did campaign hard in the last month before the election but it was obviously too late and too little, and there was still not enough of a defence of his policies. That was a big letdown for the votes who got him in and for the voters who wanted to vote for his party again in 2010, as it is his duty, and a duty towards those supporting his policies and defending him, to educate the nation about his policies and actions and also point out the vicious untruths being spread out there to brainwash the unaware voters (to their credit they did a good job, because suddenly everybody was concerned about the ‘deficit’). Hell, it IS his duty to tell the American people who is lying and who is fighting for them, for the liars did not blink while trying their best to destroy the very economy that he was fighting so hard to rebuild. It IS his duty to tell after the elections that he was more concerned about the long-term deficits that his two-faced opposition and that is why he was not supporting extending the tax cuts for the rich and that was why he came up with a brand new healthcare plan. He has been working on the same issues that the voters found him lacking on, but obviously he was not able to communicate to them. That should have been message… of course, he did try a weak defense while admitting the ‘shellacking;, but immediately backed down when there were headlines saying ‘Doesn’t Obama Get it Even Now?’.

His policies cost the party in the elections, but he still had one more chance, which he didn’t take and that was the biggest mistake of his career. Instead of taking the opportunity after the election to strongly defend his policies and denounce the misinformation that many voters had about his policies due to the lies of the opposition. He should have said the things mentioned above and should have told the votes in no uncertain terms that the short-term economic revival and long-term deficits are key focuses for him and he will not accept any proposals from the Republicans which will derail the progress he has made on both.

He should have hit back hard when they were throwing baseless allegations at him that he was not focusing on job growth and instead was focusing on healthcare and 'big government'. He should have left no doubt in people's minds that his stimulus package had job creation (which is associated with economic growth) at the core, and included many proposals for governement investments that would not only add many jobs but would would also improve America's failing infrastrucuture (killing two birds with one stone). He should have emphasized his growth initiatives like 'cash for clunkers' and home buyer's tax cut which helped the economy and created more jobs, and that government investments are necessary in such disastrous economic times. When there is no defence, then the prosecution gets a walkover even if their allegations are bucketfuls of horse excretions. Now all that mud will stick to him forever and any gains that have been made by his proposals and policies over the past two years and the new tax cuts will get attributed to the republicans, for they will take credit for passing that law and helping the economy turn the corner. He would be though of as a clueless guy who focused on the wrong things and pushed his socialist agenda, till the republicans won the house and knockedsome sense into him, whereas the republicans/tea party were just talking down the economy all this while and trying to reverse the economic progress as they did not want Obama to suceed (and the country be damned).

Instead, he got the wrong advise that he should take this opportunity to show the voters that ‘he gets it’ and show his willingness to move towards the center and win back the moderates. So he meekly parroted the tea party quacks, and abandoned any defence of his policies, and immediately started pushing out the proposals of his deficit panel within a few weeks of the election. Heck, the panel was set a long time ago and instead of using that as an opportunity to tell the public that the panel was set up long before these butter brains knew what that meant, as he was always concerned about long-term deficits and that they are ready with their findings now. However, his lack of any spine in standing up for his work made him look like a person who had no clue that the deficits were an important factor to be considered for long-term economic stability and that the election of the republicans and the hammering of the message by the tea party finally made him see the light. His quick willingness to negotiate with the republicans and pass the tax cut package again sheds him in the same light and the credit for retaining the tax cut and all the good middle class benefits will be snatched by the republicans. They will again claim this step as something Obama had to take because they took the house and they forced him to take the right steps for the economy.

Obama is probably happy that he has the votes of the republicans on record that he can use against them, but he doesn’t realize that because he did not stand up and educate the American public about the good that he has done, which is now bringing fruit, the republicans will claim the credit for the recovery gaining steam over the next two years (thanks to Obama's policies) as they will point out that a lot of it happened after they took over the house and pushed Obama to take the right steps.

Not setting the record straight before the election, or even after it, is the biggest mistake that Obama has made so far. He will find out that the hard way that it is very difficult to change the hard-set perception that many people now have of him, and lost credibility (even that lost due to lies) cannot be regained easily and when a lot of mud gets thrown at you then some it does stick unless you make an effort to clean it up.

Did Obama lose the election deliberately?

18. November 2010

There is no way that somebody as smart as Obama could not envision the surefire path to decimate the tea-party and dunk the tea bags in hot water. The blatant lies that the tea party was propogating, right from day one, can be exposed very easily by anybody who’s smarter than a fifth grader. I’ve seem his 2008 campaign and they did not let mud stick on them for too long and let it rip at the opposition if need be. I understand things have changed and he is in power, so he has to be more accomodating and also needs to keep relationships intact to get support for his policies. It must not have been too difficult to figure though, what he needs to do to win. It was way to obvious for too many, and for his seasoned campaign managers, that the despicable distortions of the right had to be debunked before too many people started believing that to be the truth. I’ve been laying out what he needed to do to win this election, in my previous articles, and I can’t believe there aren’t others who found it so obvious.

1) Defend the stimulus – how the economy was saved from disaster

  •        How it is necessary to have an economic revival to reduce deficits, and a short-term stimulus is very important for reviving the economy
  •        How the bill is not a bailout and how it involves investment in America’s infrastructure which also helped save 3 mil jobs
  •        Most major economists agree that stimulus was required, and in fact many of them say that it was too less

2) Point out opposition hollowness and duplicity on deficits and the economy

  •        They want to cut taxes for rich yet keep shouting about the deficits, neither are they willing to admit cutting spending on any specific item
  •        How an economic revival is a prerequisite for deficits and how the repubs don’t have any plan for reviving the economy and getting the jobs back

3) Defend Healthcare and again point out hollowness of the tea party/GOP again.

  •         They don’t have any plan to fix the increasing premiums, at least I have a plan even though I admit it’s not perfect
  •        Republicans are just saying what the big healthcare companies want to hear, as they have received huge donations from big corporations. The truth is they have been bought out by the big pharma and big insurance companies and that is the only interest thye have in mind even though they put on this facade of foaming at the mouth due to the 'government takeover' of healthcare. Hello, this is plan based on the policies one of your most conservative brethren, Mitt Romney, so pipe down you fake foamers.

4) Point out hypocrisy on financial regulation – wall street nearly bought down the market and the country, and the republicans don’t want to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. Spreading blatant lies again about the bill promising bailout for companies, instead the bill provides measures to end taxpayer bailouts.

5) Point out all the steps and policies for economic revival taken up and how the steps are slowly taking effect, markets are up by 50%. He has to say "I understand jobs are not coming back completely, but we have been through a major recessions and it will take some more time to come completely out of the woods. Republicans have no plan, they are the party of no and they just want to stop any progress as they do not want the current administration to succeed at any cost, even if that means destroying their own country’s economy".

The fact that he did not say these things or even run any kind of campaign, shows that either he is too dumb or he is playing a very deliberate and seemingly (to him) smart game. The advantages of a divided congress is that he can share blame with the republicans and force them to cast votes that he can use against them later on. He’ll play nice with them for another year to get some of his agenda moving, and as soon as 2012 arrives he’ll take off the kid gloves.

This may work, but by not defending himself against any of the accusations fired by the republicans and not cleaning his sullied reputation he is making the classic mistake that most politicians continue to make and yet nobody ever learns from them (such as Kerry and senior Bush to name a couple). You CANNOT let the opposition destroy your credibility and your image. Bush won in 2004 because they were successful is casting Kerry as a ‘french poodle’, who was wimpy and waffly. By not standing up strongly for his policies and actions and not defending them vigorously against the baseless attacks of the right, he has let the mud stick on him and has let the lies become the truth for too many people. If there are accusations flying fast and thick from one side and if there is no response from the other side, then there is a presumption of guilt. Once a perception about a perception becomes very strong, it cannot be shaken off no matter how much you try later. You got to fight the wrong accusations before they become the accepted truth. People respect a person who stands up for himself and believes in his actions. By 2012, even if the people realize the disgusting truth about the tea party, they would be too disappointed in Obama’s lack of interest in fighting for the truth in 2010 and will look for someone who can fight harder for himself/herself.

He had a sliver of opportunity after the election to point out the discrepancies and blatant lies on which the republicans and tea party had won the election, but he again got cowed down by those very same stupid voices saying ’He still doesn’t get why he lost the election. He’s is denial …’. He should have had the guts to say ‘I lost the election because a lot of lies were passed off as the truth, and I did not do a good job of correcting these distortions’. He has very little time to change course and start showing spine or else we’re looking at a one-term lame duck president.

Why Obama Should Fire David Axelrod and Hire Tom Perriello as Campaign Manager

1. November 2010

In a rally, President Obama said that this election is a "choice between the policies that are getting us into this mess versus policies that are getting us out of this mess". The voters, on the other hand, are asking questions such as "how will we pay almost a trillion dollars for healthcare? Why did we bail out wall street with a stimulus package? Why aren't we doing anything about jobs?" This basic disconnect is the reason why the democrats are losing now and have lost in the past too. They never answer the questions head-on and dive into this heady complex sermons that go nowhere. Look at this articlethis article and this article to see what I mean. Obama made statements which sound like typical politicial sound bites and statements which address nothing and is still trying to rally people using 2008 slogans like 'Yes, we can!' and "GW Bush is responsible for the mess we're in."

It's obvious from the article that David Axelrod is the genius behind the 'we're in the mess because of the failed policies of the previoud admin' brainwave. Wow, we couldn't ask for anything better, after two years of running the country, to say that 'it's not my fault, he messed it up'. What is still inexplicable is "why is is so hard to understand that you have to defend, clarify and explain your policies to the people, especially when they are expressing serious concern about most of them". Why does the democratic campaign run away from basic principles such as standing up for your work and strongly refuting blatantly false allegations cooked up by the opponents? Well, it's too late to think about that, but the first we ought to do Wednesday morning is to give David Axelrod the boot and hire somebody with basic smarts such as Tom Perriello.

Why Tom Perriello? This is how easy he makes it look .. when asked about the stimulus package, he said "Let's all act like grown people here. We all know that the stimulus package was necessary to preven the economy from going into depression." and for the healthcare he said "Look, we had to do something about healthcare, as the premiums were going through the roof. This is not a perfect package, but it is a step in the right direction and if we think about new ideas instead of just criticising it blindly we can come up with make it better.".

That's it takes to win an election ... of course, you may ask why is Tom Perriello not leading in that case? The problem is that Tom Perriello's head-on campaign was too little too late, and due to the national democrats 'roll over and stick head in sand' approach while the tea party was ravaging Obama's policies and distorting them and brainwashing the general public with calculated misinformation, some of the mud stuck and has been difficult to wipe clean by just one lone man. But the fact that he is still within striking distance in a race which he won by just 737 votes in a bumper year for democrats shows that honesty and conviction in your actions is always looked up by the American electorate.

I've covered the elements of a simple campaign strategy that can make it a 'slam dunk' for the democrats in this article, but apparently the democrats are hellbent on making it very difficult for them. We cannot tolerate this absolute incompetency in terms of campaigning skills and we have to make sure that the president pays attention to a broader base of advise in terms of campaign strategy and he listens to what an 'average Joe' like us thinks of his campaign and incorporates our inputs.

Let's Not Cloak The Arizona Law In The Facade of 'Crime Prevention'

4. May 2010

I think it's about time we give a strong message to all politicians that we will tolerate nothing else other than the unadulterated truth. We all know that the Arizona law has nothing to do with crime prevention ... it is so obvious that illegals do not commit more crimes than the local population. But, it is a convenient facade to hide the obvious agenda, which is to 'terrorize' the immigrant population (both legal and illegal) so that they'll think twice before immigrating to America (or crawling under the fence). The local population is sick of the growing 'foregin' population and is furious about them taking their jobs.

Well, I don't expect that truth from the Arizona governor, but at the very least what I would have liked to hear from her and the legislators was something like the below.

"We have tried various options in the past to sten the flow of illegal immigrants in our state, and partly due to inadequate support from the federal government none of those initiatives have been successful. Since we cannot wait for the Federal government to fix this complex issue, we are forced to pass a tough law to combat this rampant problem. We realize that this may cause some concern to our legal immigrants, whom we welcome with open arms and who have bought enormous diversity and economic vibrancy to our state and country. However, please rest assured that we will not let this law be miused in any way and will very strictly deal with any abuses related to this law. We will not allow police officers to stop a person solely for the purpose of checking papers. We just want this law to be an additional tool in their arsenal, so that when a stop has been made for an unrelated offence, the officer has the legal authority to check the papers only if the situation demands such a request. We will be happy to discuss all the details of this new law with anybody who desires it, and will also set up a number where people call up relating to any perceived abuse of this law. We thank the residents of Arizona for their trust and cooperation."

5186 for vs 2006 against - Let's change the equation in Arizona

2. May 2010

The dirty reality of politics is evident from this statment from the Arizona governor, Jan Brewer. "I received 5186 calls in favor of the law and 2006 calls against". Obviously, principles and justice do not play a role here. The role of the leader, whether it is a governor or a president, is not to fan the flames of fanaticism that has taken over the general population. It is to think on a higher plane and do the right thing, not just follow the mob. If joblessness and depair have made people so deseperate that they are 'desert'ing the last shreds of morality and justice, then it is the duty of the leader to try to reason with them, and not fan the flames of bigotry and injustice. It is very evident that Jan Brewer will go to any extent to keep her seat, and if signing the law is required to get herself re-elected she will do it in a flash, even if it means trashing every basic tenet of decency and justice. We do not want leaders who are looking only after themselves and we will make sure that she does not get re-elected. Obama became president because he had the guts, at at time when everyone was pandering to public fury after 9/11 and votedi n favor of the Iraq war, to strongly oppose the Iraq war and very presciently laid out the results of such an endeavour (all of which have come true). We want leaders who have what it takes to do what is right, and not just do what it takes to get re-elected.

Let's also make one more fact very clear to her. There are many people out there who are opposed to this law and haven't called her yet. So let's even out those numbers and flood her with some nay calls that the calls in favor of the law will seem like  a rounding error. Moreover, one convenient ommision from the governor is that she hasn't disclosed how many other modes of transmission she has received and hwat the count for that is. I have a feeling that neanderthals who support the law might be more amenable to using the phone (hey, there might no Internet connection in those caves) and people who have the capability to think on a higher plan might use more modern modes of communication, like email/blog posts. Even though the numbers should not matter in this decision, as the governor's job is to what's right and not just do what's popular, let's still give her a feel of the ferocity of the opposition. The number to contact the Arizona governor's office is given below, along with a link in case you prefer written communication. Feel free to vent.

Is an Economic Boycott of Arizona Justified? About as much as a boycott of Iran

27. April 2010

Should the common man pay the price for the decisions of the government? In many cases, as in the Iraq war and in the calls for the embargo against Iran, many Americans do believe that such an approach is justified. How else do we give a message to the government, and how else do we make them realize their mistakes? How else will we compel them to reverse their decision? Well, my initial knee-jerk reaction was to join the calls for boycott (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/27/us/27arizona.html?bl), especially after the more infuriating comments by the governor justifying her actions (and all the elected reps shameless using the same masquerade when they voted) as something that is required to handle the increasing crime in her state. They can try as much as they want to call this 'immigrant purging' by any other name, but luckily this time (unlike in the Iraq war) the American people are not going to fall for that joke of a reason and are not going to get brainwashed.  The sad part is that there are many Arizona residents who support this law, and we will make every effort to ram some sense and empathy into them too.

However, after some due thought, I decided that I will stick to my principle, where I will not knowingly make any innocent person suffer and pay the price of the ignorance and activisim of their racist brethren. The truth is that there are many residents in Arizona who oppose the law too, and our collective actions against the state will hurt then for no fault of theirs. That was one (small) piece of my arguments agains the Iraq war (which involved deception and sliminess on a much larger scale), and also against the secretive incarceration of 'suspects' in the years following 9/11. The same way an American drone would not target a civilian area knowingly, we will not target an area knowing that we will 'hit' innocent people as well. However, those neanderthals who passed the law need to be taught a unforgettable lesson, and I would appreciate if you have any suggestion in that regard (please leave a comment or drop in a note to admin@hitbackharder.com). I would also make our voices heard loud and clear and make sure each one of us sends a messsge to the governor and the elected reps, by using the links below (or calling).

http://az.gov and http://azgovernor.gov/

Also, lest we become like the tea party ourselves, let's try to come up with some good alternatives to combat illegal immigration, without letting the hard-working legal immigrant suffer.

Arizona: Police State of the Union

23. April 2010

OK, I had to hold off on my tea party series of articles as this took more immediate precedence. I do not have to give my opinion of the outrageous law passed in Arizona, but all I can say is we will not take it quietly. Obviously many immigrants cannot vote yet (they are not citizens yet as the process takes a while) so passing this law may not hurt the governor politically, but we will scream loud enough that her head hurts. Let me say it one more time, as the many 'ape brains' in this country do not seem to get it (or do not care what happens to 'foreigners'). You cannot create an atmosphere of harrasment and intimidation for the legal immigrant just to catch a few illegals. This country cannot reach a stage where you have to carry your passport when you go out to throw the trash or else you might be chucked into jail. No siree, that is not done. This country invited all the legal immigrants and is partaking in all the economic they provide (hey, they gotta buy a lot of new stuff when they get here), and then hound and harass them to satisy one of your narrow objectives. It is obvious that the people who passed this law cannot empathize with the impact of this law on immigrants, and the amount of mental strain it puts on them, as they haven't lived as an immigrant anywhere themselves. But we will hammer empathy into every citizen of this country, if that is what it takes. It's also besides the point that this law applies to everybody, so citizens have a good chance at being pulled over too, and it will be good fun to see people who passed this law being pulled over and asked for birth certificates/passports. I doubt that will happen though as I have feeling that the people who passed this law do not look like an immigrant. Check out this story though, to get a feel of things to come - > http://digg.com/d31PQVn.

However, the focus of this blog is not just to voice opinions but also provide means for action. I urge every person who agrees that this law is toxic to contact the Arizona Governor and give her a piece of your mind ... heck, give her more than a piece if possible for she certainly needs some grey matter up there ...

The Tea Party Exposed - Deliberate Deception and Manufactured Anger - Part 2

22. April 2010

Read Part 1 of this series here.

Playing politics is not a justification to destroy the very country the 'tea'-rexes  have been promising in their speeches to 'take back'. Starting with the Stimulus 'Bailout' Package issue, on which in fact the tea party was founded on, the leaders and establishment involvement in the tea party proved to be duplicitous crooks who knew very well that Obama and his team are doing the right thing and there is absolutely no other option than to save the banks, as the alternative would be economical anarchy and intense financial pain for every citizen of this country. But, the dirty politicians that they are, they knew they could not be caught dead agreeing with Obama on anything, and that they had to twist and malign his actions to continue with their campaigns of ‘tax and spend’, ‘democrats are bringing socialism’ and ‘big government is taking over our lives’  to continue stoking anger in their base and people with ‘malleable minds’ who were skeptical about Obama from the beginning. These are the SAME people who supported the stimulus package when the Bush administration pushed it and now are maligning Obama for ‘government take over’ when he is doing the same. That is inexcusable, bordering on criminal, deception, as their actions (knowingly opposing an important action that can protect our financial viability as a country) can bring financial destruction and erosion of our standards of living and world status. These actions are bordering on betrayal and I would classify these leaders as 'traitors', due to the impact that their action would have had on our country (if the stimulus act hadn’t passed). I repeat that politics is not a justification for such despicable actions of monumentally destructive proportions. However, I’m not blaming everybody in the tea-party for these vile acts, but only a certain ‘fringe’ who is intentionally misleading the hordes of tea party supporters. I will call these people the ‘traitors’ from now on, and without a doubt, the dubious distinction of being the ‘top traitor’ goes t onone other then Sarah Palin. To be fair, there were a few founders of this movement who were genuinely enraged at the ‘perceived’ actions of Obama, and started the tea party movement to vent out their frustrations at what they thought was a free pass for the banks and their executives. These people were horribly deluded and though the impact of their actions might be the same as the slimy elements in the party, they never intentionally betrayed the country for the purpose of politics (hey, in my books ignorance is a valid defense, though there is no excuse not to get it cured). Due to their out-dated, ignorant and narrow minded mindset I will call these group of people (which form the majority of the tea-party movement) the ‘tea’-rexes. Their partially demented behaviour and tendency to spout imaginary conspiracy theories is described well in this article in the Newsweek (“After I spent the weekend at the Tea Party National Convention in Nashville, Tenn., it has become clear to me that the movement is dominated by people whose vision of the government is conspiratorial and dangerously detached from reality. It's more John Birch than John Adams.”). Though not culpable of betraying our country directly, they might be equally responsible for the destruction of our country the way we know it, so it is critical that we push back against this movement with gigantic force that will make their ‘armageddon’ look like a ‘tea and biscuits’ party and ‘sledgehammer’ some sense into them. This is not something the rest of the country can ignore and we have to act forcefully to win this intellectual ‘civil war’ and keep America’s flag flying high.

Don’t get me wrong, they had every right to start a movement, as I believe every person who has something to say should try all means possible to make their voices heard and what better than approach than gathering like minded brethren and speaking as one voice. But, the intent, unfortunately, does not redeem the fact the intense stupidity and cluelessness of the majority who soaked up the crap of the ‘traitors’ and got swept in the wave of fury, as they just fell hook line and sinker for the horse-gooey that was being doled out by the ‘traitors’ and the republican establishment (a big portion of which is equally culpable and deserves to be counted in the group of ‘traitors’).

For your kind information, you ‘tea-sipping’ majors in moronic sciences, the stimulus package was originally conceived by Bush, Paulson and his team because they too obviously realized (the hard way actually by letting Lehman fail) that the economic volcano had to be contained before the ash spills over the entire nation and creates economic tremors in every citizen's home. There was no other option for the Obama administration to continue the Bush solution, but the 'foxy' weasels of the tea party decided that the economic stakes and citizens' welfare does not matter and all that matters is how to reclaim their seat in the next election and how they can manipulate people's thinking and convince them that Obama is a socialist and screwing the nation. The two-faced duplicty of the ‘traitors’ of this tea party movement is so despicable that you would think that even America's worst enemy's would think twice about indulging in such lowly behaviour to destroy our country, but these are America's supposed saviours who are doing their best to wreck the already fragile finances of individuals by spoonfeeding bs-shake to the general and put on this façade of patriotism by crying ‘USA, USA’ at every rally. ‘Tea’-rex posters like 'bail me out too' were pretty common during those days, but seriously those people should have their voting right revoked on the basis of sheer ignorance. Let me give a suggestion to these ‘tea’-rexes about the standard they should hold their leaders (and youself) too …just saying 'you lie' is not acceptable.. if you think the stimulus was the wrong step, then come up with a credible alternative or else stop spewing skunk dung from your hot air hole. Like the Iraq war, sooner or later you will come to your senses, and will grudgingly acknowledge the truth, which is that THERE WAS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE THAN TO SAVE THE BANKS FROM COLLAPSING, AND THE STIMULUS PACKAGE WAS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AND WAS PASSED TO SAVE YOU (THE COMMON MAN) AND OUR ECONOMY FROM DEVASTATION. You ungrateful wretches should be thanking your stars that you had people like the Bush/Paulson and Obama/Geithner teams, which put principles over politics and did what was right and required. Oh btw, I'm sure many of you morons must be wondering ... "oh, so did Bush actually start this stimulus/bailout thingy?" ... yes, Sherlock, get the freaking facts right before you start working yourself into a lather and do a ‘dinosaur dance’ with the rest of the ‘tea’-rexes. If you can take it, you will also realize the obvious truth soon, that the tea party leadership (the ‘traitors’ camp) is fully aware that they are misleading and brainwashing you and are intentionally following this vile path of dirty deception because their only goal is to get in power ... the welfare of the country be damned. If you can still retain a shred of your senses, give them the boot and walk out of the party and support the person who is trying his best to do what's right for the country.

The Tea Party Movement Exposed - Deliberate Deception and Manifactured Anger - Part I

20. April 2010

After watching these specimens for a long time now, here’s my take on the tea 'party animals'. The tea party movement does have a good portion of members who've been deluded and brainwashed, (brainwashing these people doesn't take much effort actually), and will swallow any horse-gooey that's handed over to them by the right-wing rogues. Hey, it didn't take them much to convince a good portion of the country that Saddam Hussein had a role in 9/11 (I can almost hear Rummy, Cheney and Rove backslapping and chuckling about how easy it was to pull wool over the public's eyes). So, we have people who were already against Obama (due to a suspicion of the unknown mainly) to begin with, hanging on to every word spoken by the Stalin Palin, the ‘What the heck’ Beck, the Vanity Hannity and the Cussy Coulter. These people don’t have much of a brain anyhow and inspite of not understanding the underlying subjects, be it the stimulus or healthcare, take every word spoken by the above dirt-worms as gospel and keep stoking the fire smoldering inside them since the election. There are a good section amongst these people who voted for Obama, mainly due to the anger against Bush for misleading them to the war (read above note, trigger happy tea sippers, on how you let them mislead you so easily and are letting these guys pull the same number on you again) and pretty soon had buyer’s remorse, as their channels were still tuned to foxy news and the republican dirt-farting machine continued from where it had left off for the election campaign and kept on maligning and distorting every move Obama made. The more they kept listening to muck-raking maniacs, the more they started believing those deceiving devils, and the more they started hating Obama. OK, so we know how these people got sucked into the tea party, pretty much the same way these guys got sucked into approving the Iraq war and did not realize the enormity of their stupidity until their own sons and daughters started dying, but what’s so shocking about the tea party is the other side.

The people who are the ‘idols’ and ‘inspiration of the tea party, and people related to them, are the treacherous traitors who are deliberately misleading the public and reaching new depths of depravity in deliberately distorting any information on Obama’s proposals and openly indulging in deception, with political gain being the sole justification. These are people who were involved in growing the tea party to it’s current position, by rabble-rousing the crowds with stunningly deliberate lies and fear-mongering. These are the real rats of the tea party movement and the ones who pose the most major threat to the future of our country. These are the people who need to be called out and smoked out to have their dirty agenda exposed in front of the entire nation. These are the people who keep going ‘wink wink nudge nudge’ amongst themselves, as they know that Obama is doing a great job and probably trying harder and doing more good than any other president in history, but they gotta tear him down in their speeches and demonize him. Obviously, you belong to the opposition and you don’t need the genius of Karl Rove to understand that these people would rather be caught with a text message from a mistress rather than with an admission that Obama is doing the right thing. You have to bury him and his party with criticism and put such a dirty spin on his proposals that it would seem that Obama himself should be declared an ‘enemy combatant’. Some die-hard defenders and unscrupulous politicians will say “why not? Everybody’s got to do what it takes to survive in politics”. Sorry, Mr. Rove Redux, that is not acceptable, and here’s why …

This Blog is back ... (again)

8. April 2010

The long hiatus (the second one actually) is over and even though the comeback was long overdue, for the 'tea'ception parties were getting a free pass for way too long, I've finally managed to push myself tocreate some time for contributions to this blog and have also got some more people (with brains) involved. The 2010 election will be the war of the 'un'civilizations in terms of the amount of the weapons of mass deception that will be used by the 'tea'ception parties, and what they need is a hammer-strength response of unfathomable proportions that will make their tea party meetings seem like a Jerry Springer show. More to follow in my next article ...

Why Corzine is the better choice

19. October 2009

The right wing machine that is trying every dirty trick in the book to malign Obama and get the democrats out of power has made Jersey it's next battleground. Every radio host is unilaterally raving against Corzine and how he brought ruin to the state. They talk of corruption in Jersey politics and how voting for a democrat again will be a vote for continuation of dirty politics in Jersey. The words 'dirty politics' sounds funny coming out of republican mouths, who have fallen to new depths in their blatantly duplicitous campaigns (and gimmicks like tea parties) against Obama, screaming and jumping on a bed of falsehoods. The truth is that Corzine is not like every other corrupt politician and has tried many times to take the unions and political class head-on, even shutting down state government and casino functions till they agreed to his demands. He has many commendable accomplishments to his record like his historic investements in NJ schools and his determined efforts to fight the deficit, which is mainly the result of the economic downturn. The republicans, like at the centre, have tried to paint him responsible for all the job losses and deficits, but the truth is that the republicans know that there is no other path other then what Corzine is following. They cannot dig out of the deficits through tax cuts though Christie is falsely proclaiming that he'll cut taxes when he comes to power. If you ask him how, he will give a run-around that will make Palin proud.

The advantages of choosing Corzine are many, and one of them is that he has nothing to lose in a second term as he will not be fighting for re-election again, so that gives him a better chance at pushing harder to fulfill his cost-cutting agenda. He is not corrupt and is not interested in the money, as he has lots of it, so his sole focus is on development. Christie does not offer anything specific that would make us choose him, and the risks are too high as both he and his deputy are connected to law enforcement, both have right-wing views about immigrants, and would probably make NJ a police state. Anybody who pushes for police officers to be immigration enforcers, who doesn't understand the terrifying plight it creates for immigrants (legal!!), subjecting legal residents of the state to live in an atmosphere of 'guilty until proven innocent' and make them live in constant fear of being asked to prove their status....even to the point that they might think of carrying passports if they go out to throw the trash, is not an American and does not deserve any office. Real Americans know that their country is about freedom, liberty and hope and creating an atmosphere of terror (especially for our newest arrivals) is not exactly what the founding fathers had in mind. Of course, they will always fall back on the Cheney/Rove trump card of 'protection against terrorism' for all the steps that they would like to take and gullible people still fall for it even after the bitter lesson of the Iraq war (talk about knuckleheads). Finally, they do not have the expertise or the qualification to be govern the state and fix the state economy. The only thing that I may excuse them for is their social views, as I'm not a big fan of abortion either. But, most important is if the person is good human being and anybody who is insensitive enough to snatch basic freedom from people's lives and makes them live in terror, cannot be a good human being.

The 2008 Election is Not Over Yet.. Get Ready for Battleground 2.0

19. August 2009

If the Obama supporters (who seem to be dwindling) think their job is done after getting him elected, then think again. The right-wing deseperadoes will stop at nothing to kick him out of office and get somebody else in. They are fuming and foaming at the mouth at the thought of this guy in office cause he is proving most of their beliefs to be wrong and is turning their whole philosophy on it's head. Moreove,r the right-wing has very few relatively decent guys like McCain and is full of scheming deceiving schmoozters who will stoop as low as it takes (tough to go below Coulter) to get him out of the white house (and will defend their dirty actions in their own minds by saying it's for the greater good).

For those who elected Obama, do not give up on the person and refresh your beliefs on which you voted for him. He is trying more than we expected he would to address all the difficult problems we face, whether it's the economy, healthcare, foregin policy and he is working his butt off tryi ng to make things better for us. It is very clear that his intentions are right and that his effort is genuine. He has made many right calls, much more than any other president I can remember, and like any human being might have made a couple of wrong ones. Moreove, he's really trying to get things done soon because he realizes the urgency of action. It is now again on us to fight for him and our betterment and push back the muck-machine of the right-wing and hit back harder at them. Watch out for more on this topic soon..

The joke's on the townhall maniacs themselves ..

13. August 2009

The pathetic ignoramuses who wag their tails when they see their fave Foxy News' maniac and will swallow any deception from the anchors ("wink wink nudge nudge, we know there are no death panels in this plan, but hey we'll say whatever it takes to get these beef-brains worked up and start screaming for that socialist's head"). The guys, like shitty Hannity have been at it from day one like to obliterate Obama, with no limits to the extent of manipulations and poker faced lies, cause he's 'liberal' and 'socialist' as per their twisted minds and they have to get rid of him. They'll say and do anything and keep blaming him for everything (similar to what the Democrats used to do with Bush but compared to the extreme measures and level of sliminess of the right-wingers that was a lovefest). With the economy in such a shape and people worried, the people who were originally against or skeptical of Obama, kept getting more and more brainwashed by these mealy-mouthed foxes, and got sucked into the vortex of dangerous deceptions.

I experienced some of that anger when one of my doctors' kept ranting and raving about the Sotomayor confirmation hearings and about Obama's empathy statement (the law is the law .... where does the heart come in?) and not taking eyes off the f-news screen while trying to do a procedure on me. It was apparent that the fuks news guys had hatched a typically dirt-minded plot to keep stoking the fires of their viewers till they start rampaging the streets and create a loud enough hue-and-cry to start a movement against the socialists who are 'destroying the country'.

So they decided to take it out on the healthcare issue (it could be potato farming for all they care) because that is the best issue to hit back hard at the President. Well, the jokes on you mister (but nobody's laughing) as all you end up doing with your lump-headed tantrums is ensuring that you continue paying a higher health insurance premiums and continue to have healthcare costs add to the deficits. So, enjoy it all you can, because at the end of it all, you will not be smiling either.

And another small note for the smug right-wing bull-heads who are stewing in their hatred and trying to drown their opponents in their rivers of rage, one small word of advise, give it up already, for the people on the other side are not push-overs like in the bush-rove era. This time, you bundle-brains try something that is unjustified and not right, we'll turn that roars into squeaks. Burst as many veins as you can, we are not going away and don't you are raise your voices cause we will scream louder than you. We are not going to rest till every one of you cavemen sees sense and we will keep hammering it into you slowly but surely.

For people who agree, all I can suggest, even if it seems like we're borrowing a page from their books, is to shove yoursleves and all like-minded people to townhalls and scream back louder. Show them that we will never bend, and we will not deviate from the path of justice come what may.  We now have that unshakeable faith that comes from knowing without doubt what it right and what is wrong.

Blog Purpose ... Revisited

9. August 2009
OK, the purpose of the blog is clear but one goal that needs to be highlighted is that this blog is not just to vent out and talk about stuff. This blog will also provide means for action ... i.e. means for getting our point across to the people and institutions who matter. I will also solicit suggestions from readers as to the best means of action to make our voices heard and get our point across loud and clear ... even if it involves a screaming match at townhalls. The right-wing propaganda machine is getting dirtier, slimier and more unscupulous by the minute but this time they will realize that the other side is not going to take things lying down and will 'hit back harder' ... .

The Gates arrest is about power abuse, not about race

4. August 2009

The real issue hidden inside the Robert Gates Jr. fiasco in Cambridge is not something too many people want to talk about. In fact, President Obama, who very bravely waded into this issue and as usual called right on the issue had to bow down before political pressures and hushed it up. I agree that it was wrong of Gates to get all worked up and refuse to show his the ID initially, but after he showed the two forms of ID there was no reason for the officer to arrest him. The  police officer did what a lot of people in power do … flaunt it cause he could and abused it. He arrested Gates just to get back at him because he was mad at Gates for showing attitude and not respecting him. I don’t blame the officer for getting mad either, but people in power or with power have to realize that they cannot use it for personal means, and the consequences for doing so should be severe. Oh BTW, just chuck the whole freaking race thing out of the window, for this issue had nothing to do with race.

Just imagine a situation where you are going at 10 miles/hour over the limit. An officer stops you to give you a ticket, and you get a little worked up and ask the officer why is he ticketing him for only 10 mph over the limit. The officer says ‘but you were over the limit’ and you retort back with something like (depending on how bad a day you’re having) ‘What the heck officer, going 10 mph over is a standard practice and if that’s the case then you should be ticketing everybody else too’. How would you feel if the officer arrests you for ‘resisting a ticket’ or whatever applicable law can be cooked up by the officer (let me not get into what trouble an immigrant can get into for speaking like that). There would still be a section of people saying that the driver had to no right to speak to a police officer in that tone and disrespect him, as our officers are our heroes and they spend their days and nights defending our freedom. In my opinion, you have every right to speak to an officer like you would to any other person in an equivalent situation not involving people of authority. It’s all good and deserving to call them heroes and keep highlighting the tough job that our police does to keep us safe, but at the end of the day that is the job they have chosen and no matter how tough and dangerous your job you do not earn the right to abuse power for personal gains.

OK, all this is obviously my viewpoint, based on the 'facts' I've read, but one strange aspect of this case is the actual lack of facts. Why haven't newspapers and channels gone into the details of when Gates showd the IDs (if at all) and why did Crowley arrest him. Somebody is obviously suppressing the facts and I have a feeling that somebody is not Gates.

What our dear countrymen have to realize and I will gladly hammer into their brains, one by one, if required, is that abuse of power will not be tolerated and injustice of any sort will not be tolerated. Kudos to Gates and Obama for bringing this incident into focus. But bigger abuses of power have happened and keep happening, from the student strip search for ibuprofen at the lower end of the totem pole to the manipulation of facts and initiation of the Iraq war at the higher end. The worst part about abuses like the ibuprofen search or an erroneous 'terrorism' arrest are the pointed refusal to give an apology. I will get into that in a separate topic though and the decency to apologize for a wrong deed is another thing that might need to be sledge-hammered into the brains of people from ‘swaggersville’.

Finally, the key point of this blog is not to tolerate injustice and 'do something about it' aka 'take action!'. I welcome suggestions on how to 'take action' and whom to contact to make our opinions and voices heard on this case and no matter what it takes, get to the root of the matter.

Enough of the Clinton Women

7. September 2008

If they haven't realized till now that their messed-up minds were the reason for their baseless phobia and paranoia about the imagined sexist bias against Clinton, then it's time to hammer the message into their brains. Nobody really cared whether Clinton is a woman or a man (after so many years of seeing her in politics thoughts about gender don't occur to most people when they see her), it's her policies and actions (hint hint... Iraq War) and scheming duplicity about her actions on the war which made most people hate her. She deserved to lose for that alone .. and please don't keep bashing Obama for trying to innocently lighten up the atmosphere in that debate by saying 'You're likeable enough' (may not be excellent choice of words but very very innocuos and if you can't see it that way then please go for a brain scan). I'll be fair and say it was equally wrong for Obama's supporters to call the Clintons racist but again the Clintons did try to raise pointless parallels between black people running for presidents.

So it all comes down to this and nothing else ... when it mattered the most, Hillary showed awful judgement and she did not accept it even when it was clear that her decision was wrong, just for the sake of her personal political benefit.  If she can be so small-minded as to think of her personal political gain when lives are being lost by the thousands then there is no further explanation required as to why she does not deserve to be president (so just stop it already).

P.S: On this topic and on almost everything, you are the best Maureen Dowd.

Iraq War

7. September 2008
We will not forget! This issue still needs to make or break this election as this issue represents the fundamental barometer of a persons' judgement and mindset, which is the main criteria for selecting a president. We cannot let neanderthals run the country again especially after seeing the harm they can do to the entire world with one horrible (criminal) decision.

What made me start this site

24. August 2008

I have to admit that the final push for the site came from the right wing conspiracy which led to the Iraq war, which is probably the basis for a lot of liberal blogging out there and is a kind of cliched reason, but it wasn't just the war itself; it was more the events which followed the war, culminating in the 2004 election campaign by Republicans (and the wimpy response by Democrats) which finally made me kick through my lethargy and think seriously about getting this site out. It still took a long time coming after that but I knew I had to get this out before the 2008 election, as I always regretted not airing my views about how Kerry's campaign should be run as I believe that might have helped him.

I knew the American mainstream does not like to see a wimpy president (the clever gop campaign made Kerry look like one and he obliged by playing the scaredy cat), especially during a time of war, and Kerry had to hit back harder at them. I had the lines that I was sure would electrify the public and make him come out stronger from the swiftboating and host of other attacks (it's no use repeating those lines now but the clever GOP is using some of those for Mccain this time).  Well, this time I will make sure I will air my views and I hope that some of the Obama campaign folks manage to somehow read this and it somehow helps them, at the very least in not repeating the mistakes of the last election. Whenever the republicans attack the democratic candidate, try to diminishing his/her image, paint him/her in a negative light or throws false allegations at him/her, you have no choice but to hit back harder or else you run a real risk of a permamnt/irreversable damage to your image (remember the waffling french poodle) ... but you have to be real smart about to how to hit back harder and use their own words and attacks like a boomerang which comes back to give them a big blow.

It's not tough at all but it is a shame that democratic strategists haven't shown that kind of smarts (and I'm not talking just about negative attacks here) and basic intuitive understanding of how a regular American (or a regular human being for that matter) thinks and how to build the image and credibility of a person so that it resonates with the common man's feelings.

This blog does have a higher purpose though which I will pursue after the 2008 elections. Right now it is critical that we all focus our energies on this important task. Till then the main purpose of this site will be to devise an unbetable campaign strategy for the democrats and laying out in detail how to hit back harder at the republicans so cleverly that every one of their moves goes against themselves and they will be left scrambling for ideas .

Have fun reading and do drop a comment with your thoughts.
